Fovea is pleased to make available a professionally equipped and maintained black-&-white darkroom for use by photographers with all levels of darkroom experience. Opening in mid-June.

HOURS
The Darkroom is available to rent by appointment from noon till 6pm, Friday Saturday & Sunday.

EQUIPMENT
Fovea’s darkroom facilities are equipped with :

· 2 Omega D2 enlargers for printing 35mm to 4x5” sheet film.
· 1 Bessel enlarger with an Aristo cold head for printing 35mm to 4x5 sheet film
· Tanks & reels for development of 35mm & 120mm & 220mm film, and 8x10 sheet film.
· A variety of negative carriers from 35mm to 4x5”
· Easels, printing trays, and drying racks for paper up to 20”x24”
· Basic chemistry for film and paper processing
· Glass contact printers (?)
· Tongs, scissors, thermometers, and other related darkroom tools
· State of the art aluminum sink with built in temperature control, and complete water filtration system
· Archival print washer
· Fiber paper print dryer
· Light table

RENTAL RATE
$8/Hour to Friends of Fovea or $12/hour non-members.

Rental fee includes standard chemistry for black-and-white printing and film processing. Individual darkroom renters are responsible for any damage that occurs during use.

Special rates are available for Darkroom users who wish to purchase blocks of rental time

FOVEA CAMERA CLUB

Fovea’s Camera Club offers unlimited* darkroom access through 2009

for a special rate of $200 and 6 hours of volunteer time towards Fovea’s educational programs or events. Limed to 12 people. (*Excludes scheduled events)

Members also receive 15% off Fovea Workshops and Classes, and 10% off Fovea Bookstore.

WHAT TO BRING:
Film or negatives, paper, negative sleeves, canned air, towels, & any special chemicals and toners you may use.
